With third term ending, a wave of relief and stress seems to be hitting the students at Farmington High. Considered by many to be the worst term of the school year, third term has almost no breaks and no days off which makes it feel like an eternity. But alas, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Spring Break, which starts at the very beginning of fourth term on April 2nd and lasts a week. A beacon of hope and a tender mercy to all students and teachers, it’s a time to unwind and let go of all that stress that builds up by the end of the term.

Because it’s been so long since we had a break, a lot of people have trips and vacations awaiting them. Additionally, with the weather getting warmer, doing activities outside is becoming more realistic. The students at Farmington have an array of ideas for what they plan to do for this break.

“I can’t wait to start playing spike ball and volleyball at the park with my friends, it’s always such a party and the warm weather is so nice,” senior, Jace Haven, said.

Hanging out at the park is just one of the many things to do during the break. If you’re looking for ideas of things to do, consider going to a museum, hammocking, going on a hike, biking around the neighborhood, going to a concert, and so many other things.

“For Spring Break, I’m going to Europe with my family. It’s basically my senior trip,” an anonymous student said.

Going on vacation is also a really good way to spend Spring Break. You don’t have to go anywhere crazy, even a quick trip to a national park for a couple of days could be well worth it. The idea is to just enjoy the warm weather and give yourself a breather, and also mentally prepare you for the final stretch of 4th term.
