Prom is just around the corner, which means last minute preparations! I interviewed one girl from each grade to hear about their prom plans. Many people don’t have official prom plans yet, but they are in the process of getting ready and excited. Here at Farmington High, and many other Utah schools, someone will ask another person to the dance first using a poster, then after they receive a poster response. After, they have a day date of the asker’s choice, then the official prom dance. Lastly, the after party, which is usually just a movie at a group member’s house. Let’s see what some of our students have planned so far!

Paige Olsen is unsure what her day date will be because her date has everything set up as a surprise!

“My dress is a pink spaghetti strap with a leg slit, and a slightly ruffled collar. My favorite thing about it is the color and it looks good with my skin tone,” senior, Paige Olsen, said.

Paige is most looking forward to the actual dance and going crazy at it. Finally, after the dance, Paige plans on going to a friend’s house to watch movies and play pole.

Courtney Barton has a day date planned to go indoor rock climbing! Courtney hasn’t yet decided on her dress, but the one she likes best is white with floral print ruffles.

“I think we’ll just hang out at someone’s house after the dance and I’m looking forward to meeting new people,” junior, Courtney Baton, said. 

Liv Tobler is planning on going to the Rush for her day date. She is most looking forward to the date and getting ready for the dance. As Liv gets ready, she’s going to have to pick out the perfect dress.

“I haven’t picked the dress but I have two. One is light pink and the other is dark green. I love that they’re not super expensive. Score!” sophomore, Liv Tobler, said.

Prom is going to be so much fun with the awesome people that go to our school. After all the stress of planning,  and the fun of day dates, prom finally approaches in just a couple days. Everyone is going to look beautiful in their new prom dresses. Good luck and best of wishes to everyone on prom night!
