Seniors Look Forward to End of Year Activities
March 2, 2021
There are so many different events that happen at the end of the school year. This includes graduations, parties, dances, sporting events, and more fun activities. With everything going on right now what is happening this year at Farmington High School?
Graduation is coming up fast, but how is it going to work this year? There is no certain answer as of right now, but the plan is to hold graduation at the Weber State Dee Events Center. What is the catch? Each student would most likely have a very limited amount of tickets that they could give to people to attend the ceremony. No matter where graduation is held, it will be June 2nd at 1:00 p.m. It has been a tradition that the night of graduation, seniors get a senior party held usually at the school or a fun center. The plan for this year would be to hold the party at Rush Funplex where all students would be required to follow the rules regarding COVID- 19. All students would need to receive a negative covid test in order to attend these events.
“It is the hope and plan right now but things can always change,” administration, Merci Rossmango said.
“It will be test to participate,” administration, Justin Whittaker said.
Senior events are expected to take place at the end of this school year but may be held slightly different considering everything going on. The hope is that there will be a senior prom and senior cotillion at the end of the year but as of right now nothing is certain. Speaking of senior cotillion, what is it? This event is a dance for seniors only and is expected to be held on May 28th from 8-10 p.m. The week of senior cotillion is also senior week so make sure to keep an eye out for fun activities held during that week!
The world is full of crazy events right now but we will hope for the best outcome for the seniors! With the majority of events still being questioned, administration is still planning on a fun and exciting end of year.
