As we are following the Zodiac series, this week we focus on the one who is playful, intellectually curious and a social butterfly, and the other one who is emotional, nurturing and highly intuitive, and sensitive. Gemini and Cancer. These signs have characteristics that some people believe that’s what makes you, you. And it’s all according to your birthday.  But we are here to find out if that is true, if you believe in it and if it is accurate.

Gemini: May 21st- June 20th. They are symbolized with the twins. Ever met someone who is super-fast, smart, adaptable, and curious. And they might gossip a lot. But you need to be careful because there are two sides to a Gemini. With the twins symbolizing it one might be very outgoing and kind and the other might be totally different. You just need to be a little careful to know what one shows up. They do have a weakness like every sign and everyone. Their weakness is that they find it hard to stay at one place. They pick habits and hobbies up fast and then they drop it faster than you’d ever thought. Very inconsistent. Do you believe in this, that every Gemini is like this. We asked the question if this Zodiac sign is correct for those whose birthdays fall under the twins.

“I don’t think they’re accurate, you can’t really predict the personality of someone based on what they’re Zodiac sign is. That doesn’t make them who they are. I don’t really believe in astrology. I think it’s cool for people to know about, but I don’t think people should sit with it and make themselves into someone just because of a stereotype,” Senior, Kassidy Johnson said.

The next sign that we are focusing on this week is Cancer. Cancer is the crab and people who have Cancer as their Zodiac have a birthday between June 23rd- July 22nd. You might know them as tenacious, highly imaginative, loyal, emotional, sympathetic. And their weaknesses might be something as moody, pessimistic, suspicious, manipulative, insecure. As with Gemini we asked a Cancer what they believe and if they see Cancer traits dominant in their life.

“I don’t really believe in it. I like to look into it because it’s fun and to see people believe. And it’s crazy how some things are true, or not. And sometimes those fun Zodiac sayings and it’s scary to see how accurate they really are. And I respect people who do avidly believe in it because it’s really cool and crazy.” Senior, Emma Thornblad said.

As you learn more about Zodiac signs and the traits each sign carries, that is your sign or someone else’s sign, there is a lot you can learn. It almost makes you look inward at yourself to see if you have those traits, or if there is a trait you want to develop. Because we all have the ability to develop these traits and become what we want to become. And behind each Zodiac is a story and a reason. If you look at the night sky and look at the stars, in some seasons you might be able to identify the constellations, it’s hard to find them but they’re up there in the night sky and with that there is a story and sometimes those stories might be true.
