Cristiano Ronaldo’s Legacy

Cristiano Ronaldo at many different points has been considered, depending on who you ask, the best soccer player of his time. This outstanding athlete began his soccer career on August 11, 2003, with Manchester United. He has many famous moments with that team and has scored a total of 127 goals with them, making him a very coveted player. Real Madrid made a move for him on July 1st, 2009, making Cristiano Ronaldo their starting left wing. He then played out a good amount of his seasons with Real Madrid before getting traded to Juventus in 2018. Ronaldo did not stay with Juventus long before, just recently, he moved back to his home team, Manchester United.

“Ronaldo’s been my favorite player since I started playing soccer,” sophomore, Tanner Weaver, said.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been a hero to so many future soccer players growing up because of his on-field presence. In most of the teams he’s played on, he’s been played as a left wing. And with his sensational speed and amazing ball handling, he’s often been the lead scorer and star player on each of his teams. Because of these factors, he’s always been a player people keep their eye on and players yearn to be like.

“As a big Real Madrid fan, I love watching Cristiano Ronaldo play even though he’s at Manchester United now,” senior, Will Swain, said.

In closing, Ronaldo has a massive legacy left behind on many different teams. Some people resent him for leaving, or playing on a rival team, but others love him because of how entertaining he is to watch. But no matter who you are or what your team is, chances are you have heard the name Cristiano Ronaldo.
