The boys’ Basketball team had a successful season, with the second most wins overall. Unfortunately, our school’s team crashed down during their last game against Cyprus High School.

“We are very proud of our guys, for the fourth consecutive year our school won at least 14 games, which is a huge accomplishment for high school basketball. There’s a lot of teams in our state that would kill to have four consecutive 14 win seasons,” Coach Walkenhurst said.

After a difficult last game, Coach Walkenhurst left a great message to the team in the locker room.

“We told them that we are proud of the way we grew and got better as the season progressed, especially to our seniors. All of their time and sacrifice they put in to make our program great and lead the example for our younger guys,” Walkenhurst said.

Even though we lost the last game, our amazing boys’ basketball team had a positive outlook throughout the season and during their final game.

“You come in during the second half and you see the score and think that because we are down by a lot we are going to lose, but we had the attitude that we can come back,” junior, Ben Stucki, said.

The boys’ basketball team had a great season. They were able to accomplish so much in their first year playing against 6A schools.
