This Week’s Biggest Plays

Another week in the NBA has passed, which means another week of phenomenal basketball match ups, record breaking stats, and big-time blocks and dunks. Some big moments this week include Hassan Whiteside getting an and one while taking down four players with him, Giannis had a 43-point double-double, continuing the Bucks winning streak, and a beautiful no-look pass from Donovan Mitchell for a dunk early in the game.

“My favorite sport to watch is pro basketball because of how fast-paced it is,” senior, Will Swain, said.

One player who really stood out this week was Karl-Anthony Towns. He had a record breaking high for most points scored in a quarter with 32 points in the third. He ended his game with an unbelievable 60-point game to make it 149 to 139 with the Timberwolves ending up on top. Another player who put up big numbers this week was Trae Young who put up a ridiculous 46-point double-double leading the Atlanta Hawks to a 122 to 113 win over the Portland Trailblazers.

“My favorite part about watching NBA games is watching with my friends,” senior, Lizzy Thomas, said

Finishing off the week, we had a moving standing ovation for Draymond Green who returned from a left disc injury after missing 30 games because of it. His first play back in he starts strong with an assist to Stephen Curry for three. Watching him in his game back it barely seemed like he was out at all. In this game he only played 20 minutes, but he scored six points, got seven rebounds and seven assists which is nothing small for his first game back. It is special moments like these that make the NBA great to watch.
