Snack Bar Food, Yay or Nay?

Everyone has their opinions on the school’s lunch options, but what about the snack bar? Not every school has this, but is it much different than just regular school lunch? I asked around Farmington High to get their opinions and thoughts on the food served at the snack bar.

“Me personally, I don’t go very often to the snack bar, but when I do, I always get one of their smoothies. They are super good. I’ve tried almost all of them, but my favorite is the raspberry smoothie. They are a little pricey, but when you are starving, it is worth it,” junior, Dylan Borland, said.

Trying the snack bar’s raspberry smoothie myself, I totally recommend it to everyone that likes smoothies. I’m not totally sure how they make it, but whatever they do, it’s working.

“I go to the snack bar almost every sixth period and get a feast. I grab the chocolate muffin, the cup of noodles, and some type of shake. Either the butterfinger or the peanut butter but they are always out of the peanut butter apparently. For the cup of noodles and muffin, it is pretty cheap so I think it is worth it if you are looking for something to eat,“ senior, Conrad Baker, said.

While the first two students think highly of the snack bar, we have some opposing views of it as well.

“I don’t go cause I don’t think it is worth it at all. Their food and snacks are pretty expensive. And the people that work there are always talking and one time when I went, they forgot that I had bought something and ten minutes later I had to go remind them,” senior, Addi Macdonald, said.

Depending on what you think, the snack bar here at Farmington High is either a blessing or a total waste of time and money. While it can be very convenient to hurry and grab something to eat in between classes or just during class, it can be expensive, and you could save your money for something better.
