The Good Place: Show Review

Boston Palmer, Entertainment reporter

Tv is a great way to be entertained when you are bored, and one of the shows that is a great one to watch is “The Good Place”

“The Good Place” is a unique and inventive comedy series that premiered on NBC in 2016 and ran for four seasons. The show, created by Michael Schur, follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), a recently deceased woman who wakes up in the afterlife and finds herself in “The Good Place”, a utopian afterlife where only the most virtuous people are allowed to enter. However, Eleanor soon realizes that she has been mistakenly placed in The Good Place and must try to become a better person in order to avoid being sent to The Bad Place.

One of the greatest strengths of “The Good Place” is its writing. The show is both witty and intelligent, blending comedy with philosophical concepts in a way that is both accessible and thought-provoking. The show tackles complex issues such as ethics, morality, and existentialism in a way that is both entertaining and insightful.

The show’s humor is another strong aspect. The show’s use of witty one-liners, absurdist humor, and pop culture references help to keep the show light and entertaining, even as it tackles more serious subjects. The show also manages to balance its humor with moments of heart and emotion, particularly in the show’s final season

One of the greatest aspects of “The Good Place” is its willingness to take risks and push boundaries. The show’s unexpected twists and turns keep viewers on their toes and constantly surprised. The show’s ability to constantly reinvent itself and challenge audience expectations is what sets it apart from comedies on tv. This show is an amazing show and I definitely recommend that you watch it!
