The PGA, (professional golf association) has a tournament that started February 23. Honda is putting together this tournament and brings all the best golfers from all over the world to participate in this tournament. This tournament is being played in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Some of the most famous, well-known, golfers are playing in the honda classic this year, Sungjae Im, Billy Horschel and Shane Lowry. Everyone has very high expectations for these three men in this tournament. All three are projected to shoot very low scores and qualify for the masters this year. 

The hondaa classic is a very famous golf tournament that happens every year. The tournament goes from February 23-26 this year. It is a 4-day tournament and 72 holes will be played. That comes out to 18 holes a day. As of right now, B. Horschel and A. Schenk are tied and in the lead with -5. Then coming in third is J. Bramlett with -4. All three of these men are from the United States of America. They are playing well on day one, but anything can happen over the next couple of days and spots will be taken. 

The PGA kind of works like a bracket. Every year golfers will play on average 20-30 tournaments a year. Then, the best golfers will be taken from all the tournaments and chosen to play in the final tournament, the masters. The top 50 players in the official world golf ranking will be chosen to participate in the Masters tournament. The masters is pretty much the gold championship, and if you win that you are considered to be the best golfer that season. 

The winner of the Honda Classic will take home a whopping, $1.512 million dollars! The total purse of this event is $8.4 million dollars. So there is a lot of money to be made in professional golf!
