Food Review – Chicken Express
In downtown Salt Lake City right by Chinatown there lies a hidden gem. Chicken Express. Though it may be classified as a chicken cuisine on Google, it is more of a Greek cuisine that specializes in chicken.
While driving down the state street, you could easily miss Chicken Express. It looks like an abandoned tax building. To make it worse, their sign out front is decaying. To make it easier to remember as you pass the Chinatown entrance (going south), slow down a bit and look for the white building. Once you find it, it’s time to order!
I ordered a double chicken plate. This came with 2 chicken skewers, rice, pita bread, tzatziki sauce, and a side of salad. I first tried the rice. It was amazing. I can’t tell what they put on it, but it tastes amazing. The rice was fluffy and hot. The rice with tzatziki sauce was even better. Next, the chicken skewers. They were cooked to perfection. The chicken was soft and had an amazing flavor. I had put the chicken and rice into the pita bread and dipped it into the tzatziki sauce, that might have been the happiest I have ever been. All the flavors were amazing. The salad was fantastic as well. I have nothing bad to say about Chicken Express. The food is amazing in all respects. The flavors will blow you away.
I went through the drive-thru and ate at Sugar House Park. While I was eating, a squirrel was watching me. I tossed the squirrel a cucumber. Then a couple more. It got really close. If the squirrel likes Chicken Express, then I think you could too.
