While in City Creek I had the opportunity to eat at Pretty Bird. I have heard many positive reviews. I was skeptical at first. 

Pretty Bird has 4.3 stars on Yelp with a variety of positive reviews. I glanced at the one-star reviews. A majority of them stated that the chicken was phenomenal though the reason they gave the one star was either the service, tipping, or anything other than chicken. 

I ordered my food online so I’m not sure what the usual wait time looks like as well as the customer service. Though I ordered online I did eat there. Pretty Bird is not like the usual joint; You order your food from a window and eat outside in the provided area. With the pigeons, I may add. The pigeons are very funny, they are very comfortable and will ask for food. You cannot feed them, obviously. I liked the atmosphere. Especially because it is spring so the weather is perfect for eating outside. 

I ordered the 10-piece nugget combo which costs around $14. The meal included 10 nuggets, crinkle fries, pretty bird sauce, and a drink.

My first bite of the chicken was like euphoria. The crust of the chicken was just the right amount of crispy and the seasoning was just right. There was not an unruly amount of seasoning which makes you cough while you eat but it was just enough to coat the chicken for flavor and vision. The fried chicken nuggets had to be the most delicious I have ever tasted. Arguably, Pretty Bird may have the best hot Fried Chicken in Utah. Not only was the chicken incredible but so was the crinkle fries and sauce. I am crinkle fries’ biggest fan so I loved them. But the sauce. Pretty Bird sauce is the most delicious and flamboyant sauce. There is a certain zest that comes with the sauce which makes it stand out. 

Overall I highly recommend Pretty Bird. They have phenomenal chicken and specialty sauce. I guarantee that you will get a bang for your buck.
