As the end of the school year approaches Farmington High Seniors have one of the busiest weeks coming up. The last week of school for a senior can get packed between making sure you can graduate and partying hard the calendar fills up quick.
The truth is, we all strive to be academic weapons at the end of the year but some of us end up as academic victims. Lots of students got notified a few months ago that their credits are not where they need to be. As a result, seniors took some pretty random classes this semester.
“I took an assistant class where I kind of just sat there. I stopped going like a month ago but still… it works.” Senior, Dax Ward, said.
If you are not sitting in a random class, you are most likely cramming for AP tests. These tests have been running for the last couple of weeks and student reviews have been surprisingly positive.
“Ya, I thought they were going to be a lot harder. I’ve had four this week and the in-class tests were way harder than the actual AP test.” Senior, Benson Rose, said.
As all of these seniors wrap up their classes and grades, partying starts to take priority. After graduation, the senior students will be hanging at the Rush until 3 am, but before they do that… they have to go to a few pre-party-parties.
“Oh ya, this week is gonna go crazy. I’m hitting up some pool parties, late night volleyball, parties in the hills. It’s gonna be sick.” Senior, Maddie Johnson, said.
Seniors are about to move on to a whole new reality, so it makes sense that they want to live up their last few days in high school. This last week is going to be a roller coaster, but one thing is for sure… It won’t stop when they get off the ride.
