The 2024-2025 school year has begun! And you know what that means: new year, new clothes, new fashion trends. This year the students of FHS have come back swinging with a high sense of style and class. Bringing with them vogue from the past and chicness from this day and age.
If you’re anything like me you’re probably clueless of what these fashion trends might be. Trying to figure out what’s in and what’s not is a hard and seemingly impossible task. However there is no need to worry since this article is going to tell you trends you should be running towards and trends you should shy away from.
“I like sweater vests and grandpa sweaters, I like those a lot.” stated Junior Megan Barker
Sweater vests and grandpa sweaters are like time capsules from the 80’s and 90’s. These pieces of clothing are very lovely, yet a little less worn but still stylish. Megan hopes to see more people wearing this look this school year, which I believe we will.
You don’t need to feel limited to just sweater vests because you can also accept denim vests . “Denim vests are so cute. I’m wearing one right now. I love them.” says Junior Macey Gardner.
Denim vests along with sweater/sweater vests are so appealing. Although they were first introduced when our parents were in high school they are still so flattering in their own present day way.
Adding on top of former fashion coming back in is cheetah print. Some are here for it and others aren’t. “I’m not a fan of the cheetah print. I know that’s kinda a thing right now.” Stated Junior Macey Gardner.
Cheetah print is honestly a personal preference. Some people can pull it off and make it look good, while others can’t. It’s honestly up to you whether you would like to partake in this trend or not.
“I like barrel jeans, it’s my favorite trend as of right now.” Stated Junior Halle Beynon
For Halle and many others they are into the more up to date new fashion trends. One of these trends is barrel jeans which many people love and own. This piece of clothing is very flattering and unique for this day and age. You should definitely invest in this clothing item.
The fashion trends of high school come and go. Some are so cute and some are even more questionable. It’s your choice whether you participate or not in owning the following pieces of clothing. In the end I bet anything you wear looks amazing on you!
