“Inside Out 2” finally came out in theaters on June 14, 2024. In this article I will be giving you a review so you can choose for yourself whether you want to give this movie a shot or if you think it would be a flop. 

“Inside Out 2” takes a close up look into the main character Riley’s brain as she goes through the good and the bad times of living her life as a teen and the responsibilities that come along with it. This movie adds onto the original idea from the first movie, of emotions becoming their own person. 

In this movie the same characters from the original movie are reintroduced along with the introduction of new characters or should I say new emotions, like Anxiety and embarrassment. The idea of bringing in new emotions as Riley is growing up perfectly shows how much Riley has grown and changed since the first movie and the craziness of Riley’s life as a teenager. Although this movie restates themes that were shown in the first movie like the importance of family and friendship and finding your true self. 

“Inside Out 2” also shows how important it is to recognize and appreciate all the feelings we have especially when hard times hit us. The movie shows goofy moments along with serious ones. That’s what makes it so that all ages can enjoy the movie. “Inside Out 2” is a funny, warm hearted, Family friendly movie. That keeps us engaged while also teaching incredible life lessons. 

This makes this movie at the top of the list for mine and hopefully your “must watch” list. From the opinion of a teenager it made me understand that it’s ok to feel lost at times, it’s a part of growing up. I would completely recommend that you give the movie “Inside Out 2” a shot.
