“The Wild Robot” came out September 27,2024 and was rated 98% rotten tomatoes with 96% for the audience rating. This movie was produced by DreamWorks and was directed by Chris Sanders with a cast of Lupita Nyong’o (Roz), Pedro Pascal (Fink), Bill Nighy (Longneck), Kit Connor (Brightbill), Stephanie Hsu (Vontra), and many more.
“The Wild Robot” can be considered emotional as it tells a story about a robot who adapts to its environment to complete its tasks, it is categorized as Family/Adventure and is 1 hour and 42 minutes long. At the very start of the movie, it already takes you on a wild roller coaster of emotions, these can include sadness, joy, anxiety, and anger. We first see a robot named “Roz”. She is a robot that wishes to complete a task but must resonate with her surroundings to do so. So far, there are not many movies like “The Wild Robot” as it is quite unique, it talks about not only the human use of robots or AI but also, it’s impact on nature. This topic is quite popular nowadays because of a huge controversy with the use of AI or robots, but this movie has a great perspective that I think everyone should consider
With its great pros come great cons as well. “The Wild Robot” isn’t for everybody, especially if you like more action-based movies such as those produced by Marvel with a more interesting plot. I will say that “The Wild Robot” did very well with animation and it’s vibrant colors to keep you intrigued throughout the movie, but when it comes to plot and it’s development, it could get pretty boring, So I would not recommend this movie to those who like a more thrilling and exciting story, but it does have some lovely comedy that you could enjoy.
I don’t want to spoil too much about this movie, but I do want to say that it can warm your heart, the topics are ones that people, mostly towards kids and adults (especially parents) ignore, it is one of my favorite movies of all time but the choice is yours of whether you wish to watch it or not.
