It’s that time of year the snow is falling, people are playing Christmas music and everyone is in the Christmas mood. Everyone has some kind of tradition they do to celebrate Christmas throughout the winter months whether its opening your Christmas pajamas, opening presents with your siblings and so much more. So, let’s see what some of the fun traditions people do to celebrate this holiday season.
Some of the best holiday traditions have to do with food, whether you have a special Christmas breakfast, or you make some hot chocolate or some pastries. There are so many different foods and snacks to get you into the Christmas mood.
“On Christmas eve we get this really puffy bread that is sweet, kind of like a croissant but more deserting and puts peppermint ice cream on it and some hot fudge and it’s so yummy, it’s called a profiterole.” sophomore Cora Banks said.
People also celebrate throughout the month of December, putting up their Christmas trees, hanging Christmas lights and watching Christmas movies. The month of December is all about getting in the mood for Christmas and so many people do different things to get into the holiday spirit like listening to Christmas music and having hot chocolate.
“On December 6th we celebrate Saint Nicholas Day, and we put our shoes outside. When we come back poof there’s candy in them.” sophomore Cora Banks said.
There are so many fun activities people do on Christmas eve to make Christmas special, like putting cookies out, opening your Christmas pajamas, and spending time with family and friends playing games and have a good time getting into the Christmas spirit. Christmas eve is probably the best part of Christmas. You stay up all night thinking about Christmas and get so excited, it’s when you really get into the spirit and actually feel like Christmas is here.
“On Christmas Eve me and my sister sleep in the same room and stay up till 2 in the morning, until we don’t hear any footsteps. Then we run upstairs and see whose present is the biggest and we also find whose present is the smallest.” sophomore Cora Banks said.
There are so many fun traditions that people do throughout the month of December making this time of year so special. There are so many fun traditions that people do like staying up all night waiting for Christmas to come or eating yummy food. This time of year is so special and there are so many ways that people make it feel like it.
