The library’s question for the week came out on Monday, February 24th, asking, “What is your favorite beverage?” Many students have answered this question honestly. Lots of the answers given are different drinks but they do have something in common. Most answers are strangely specific, they add the specific flavor for their favorite drink. For example, one answer specifically says, “The strawberry and cream flavor of Dr. Pepper.”
We all have our own favorite drink, even if they’re specific, but nonetheless a great choice.
“Of all the drinks, I like tea, specifically London fogs,” said sophomore Ellie Blundell.
So far, the most common answer on the whiteboard for, “What is your favorite beverage?” is,surprisingly, water. Typically, soda is one of the most common choices for a favorite drink, but now it seems like energy drinks, tea, coffee, and other drinks have become more popular. Just like how we all have our opinions on our favorite drinks, we have our opinions on drinks that aren’t our favorites as well.
“Coconut water, I don’t know, it’s just really gross,” said sophomore Ellie Blundell.
There are various options for what to drink, especially when you go out to restaurants and order specific drinks that only they offer. Our school has vending machines and a snack bar that offers more than just the usual options found at other schools. They offer regular drinks that can be found at stores but also smoothies.
“Sometimes, I go to the snack bar. I get smoothies normally,” said sophomore Ellie Blundell.
As said before, water is an uncommon answer for a favorite drink. In my opinion, I don’t hate water, it’s just not my favorite drink. Water, however, will always be the best choice as a drink because of how good it is for you.
“I love water,” said sophomore Ellie Blundell.
