The Weeknd began his highly anticipated After Hours Til Dawn 2025 Tour with a sold-out show at State Farm stadium in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 9, 2025, electrifying 60,000 enthusiasts. The concert showed dramatic visuals, stunning pyrotechnics, and a stage that was designed to elevate the experience to new levels. The fans were shown a mix of all his songs, including new songs from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow and a lot of his old favorites.
The concert had an upbeat setlist that blended new tracks from his latest album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, with classic fan favorites. Beginning with “The Abyss,” The Weekend, donning a mask with LED eyes, delivered a visually stunning performance. The highlights included performances alongside Playboi Carti, such as one of the tracks “Timeless,” and deliveries of chart-toppers such as “Blinding Lights,” “Starboy,” and “Save Your Tears”.
Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a. professionally The Weeknd, headlined the trek, which is backed by the producer Mike Dean, and the rapper Playboi Carti. The tour also accompanies next month’s May 16 debut of the Weeknd’s first acting feature, Hurry Up Tomorrow, which features Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan as well.
The tour started on May 9 in Phoenix and will be continuing to September 3, the tour includes performing in San Antonio, Texas. Upcoming shows will be featuring major cities such as Chicago, Inglewood, Las Vegas, and Detroit.
The tour is an addendum to The Weeknd’s recent work of his album trilogy, Hurry Up Tomorrow, follow After Hours and Dawn FM. Besides the show of his musical development, the tour also supports charity undertakings; $1 per ticket sold goes to Global Citizen to support children in impoverished communities.
