On September 11, 2025, music artist Conan Gray began his Wishbone Pajama Show in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. With a total of 19 planned shows, many Farmington High students were happy to hear one of his stops would be in Salt Lake City. He was warmly welcomed at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater on October 1, with many Farmington High students in attendance.
Fans were happy to hear many of the songs from Conan’s most recent and popular album, Wishbone, singing some of their favorites.
“My favorite song he played was Nauseous from his new album,” says senior Alyssa Romano.
Several songs not from Wishbone were also sung, like the surprise song where he let an audience member choose between “Care” and “Astronomy”, a song from the 2022 album, Superache. Audience members had mixed feelings when “Astronomy” was chosen. Some were really excited, while others were disappointed Conan did not perform the other.
“I was really happy when the audience member chose ‘Astronomy’ because even though I like the song ‘Care’, ‘Astronomy’ I feel like is a classic, and I have loved it for a while,” says Alyssa Romano.
Senior Mason Adair disagrees. He says, “Astronomy was good, but I would’ve rather heard ‘Care’. ‘Care’ is one of my favorite songs.”
Despite varying opinions on the surprise song, the majority of students agree it was a great show!
“The concert was so much fun! I love Conan and I’m happy I finally got to see him,” says senior Ella Thatcher.
Some students liked the concert so much they say they would even go to another Conan Gray concert if given the chance.
“If Conan wanted to come back to Utah, I would absolutely try to get tickets so I could go see him again. I’ve been to a few concerts in the past, but this one really stood out to me because I really like the venue and I know a lot of Conan songs, so it was really special to hear them live.”
Overall, it seems as though students really enjoyed the concert and are happy they went and made fun new memories.
