Every student knows that lunch is one of the best parts of the school day, but what is it that really makes lunch so great? Is it the food? Spending time with friends? Or the freedom of being able to leave the school for a little while? Maybe it’s a little bit of everything. Let’s see what the students say!

Something that a lot of students like about lunch is having the time to just kick back and relax. School can get very stressful, so many students think it’s nice to have a break from their classes and have a chance to spend time with their friends

Farmington High School senior, Nicholas Shirley said that his favorite  part of lunch is being able to relax during school.

Many Farmington High students have this same view.

“I love to just chill and talk to everyone.” Sophomore, Jessica John, said.

We can all agree with Jessica in this case. It’s always nice to be able to sit and chat with our friends without the worry that teachers will get mad at us.

A lot of students frequently get stuck in the long lines while getting their lunch. Whether it’s in lines at school, or away at a restaurant, it’s never fun to stand in a long line of hungry teenagers.

“Make like a sevie and book it,” Farmington sophomore, Tyler Thompson, said when asked if he had any tips to share concerning this problem.

Another tip given to help you avoid the lunchtime rush is getting your teacher to let you out early, so that you can get your food without waiting in line. If only it were that easy.

Farmington High students all have their own opinion about why lunch is the best, but it’s clear that lunchtime is a highlight in everyone’s day. It’s a break from classes. It’s a chance to chat with friends. And, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love eating food!
