How you get ready for a big game, meet, or championship. Some people have a lucky pair of socks they wear. Some have a song they listen to. Some have a certain meal they eat before a game. Some just go with the flow. There are always some rituals and traditions, some with your team or as an individual.  People will warm up with their team and some will do it on their own. You can have your routine that you did before.

“I do a lot of visualization, to see myself either playing or racing. I try to stay in a positive mindset as well to keep myself excited to race and play. Other than that, I just try to keep everything the same. Eat well and stretch to make sure I’m ready. I usually don’t listen to music before just because I like talking to other teammates about our races. My main thing is visualization,” senior, Marianne Barber, said.

All of the greatest successes in sports are done through routines. You have to keep the things you control in control. All the work you put in has been done and you are ready to perform. You need a goal to reach your potential. You need something to push you when you are at the top.

“I think about all the babes I’m going to get when I win,” senior, Tyler Thompson, said.

All the work is there for you to be great, you just need to get down and grind it out. In the end, it takes time and dedication for the outcome you want. You spent your whole life for one moment. Don’t waste it, rise up to the challenge.
