The girls golf team goes into region play this Thursday. They have been working hard to prepare for this tournament for weeks and are excited to see where they will place. They have placed fourth in the last few tournaments and are looking forward to placing better in this region tournament.

“We have been practicing really hard and have had a lot of tournaments that have been really close together, which has been a lot of practice. The next couple days, the focus will be getting down our shots to make sure we do our best,” golf athlete, Brooke Bellnap, said.

These girls have learned to push themselves and push through hard things. They have had amazing experiences this season and have learned a lot. They have also made several memories with the people on their team which will last forever.

“The best experience has been learning to be patient with ourselves and getting to know the people on the team,” track athlete, Maddie Baugh, said.

After region, the golf team will go into the state tournament. They will have a few days off to really practice and focus on what they need to improve on. As the season is coming to an end, these athletes are able to look over what they have learned this season and the experiences that will impact them.

“I’ve learned lots of patience and getting through trial and error. Also, not giving up and letting things go,” Baugh said.

The season is coming to an end as these girls prepare for state. After state, these athletes will prepare for next year’s season. However, the focus for now is the region tournament, then the state tournament.
