As senior year ends, we are sad to see the seniors go. Over the past three years, they have shown us so many things and set our expectations high. There are a lot of things that can be learned from them.

I spoke with some of the seniors that have done great in high school and asked them what their biggest word of advice would be to people still in high school.

“Do your homework and get good grades, but have fun and make some fun memories to make high school a party,” senior, Brandt Burton, said.

A good balance throughout high school is key. Balancing homework and school with social activities is a big part of making high school fun.

“My advice would be to take as many CE and AP classes as possible while still giving yourself the freedom to enjoy high school and participate in extracurricular activities. Life is all about balancing priorities, and high school is the first time where you have the freedom to completely take control of yourself,” senior, Cannon Toone, said.

Cannon put emphasis on what Brandt said: balance is so important. He points out that high school is the first time where you have the opportunity to do so. He uses the words “freedom to completely take control of yourself” A big part of high school is not abusing that freedom. Knowing when it’s time for fun and when it’s time to get stuff done.

As much as the seniors will be missed, it’s exciting to watch them as they enter the next stage of life.

“Just live in the moment and don’t take even one moment for granted because it’s over before you know it,” senior, Reagan Peterson, said.

Enjoy high school and remember the people who help you grow. Be kind. Leave with no regrets. Seniors, we love you.
