Farmington has so many amazing opportunities through our curriculum that give student’s chances to get a head start on unique careers. Graduating students from Farmington high school have used their knowledge gained through these specialized programs to take many different fields by storm.
As mentioned previously, Farmington High School offers a wide range of specialized classes. Medical bio tech and certified nursing assistant along with ornithology and marine biology give our students an upper hand going into further education in medical and wildlife science fields.
Junior Blithe B stated about our nursing assistant course, “It’s the most interesting thing ever and you learn everything there is to know about what it is you’re learning about.” The Nursing and medical courses here at Farmington have set hundreds of students on the road to medical success, helping to build our schools legacy through our outstanding and successful alumni.
Here at Farmington our outstanding student and teacher collaboration has allowed us to be able to offer a wide range of wildlife specialty classes such as Marine biology and Ornithology. Students enrolled in these classes have countless opportunities to practice hands-on learning with many different aquatic species in our marine biology classroom. In our Ornithology class students frequently participate in field trips to the Eccles Wildlife Center just down glovers to observe birds’ behavior in their natural habitat. Said students are also able to practice taking care of birds in captivity in the enclosures located in the common areas here at Farmington.
