Winter sports at Farmington High have come to an end. Swimming and basketball are Winter sports here at Farmington. And our teams were full of talent, fun, and improvement.
With Spring seasons on the horizon, Winter sport athletes were asked reflection questions about their seasons.
Winter athletes were asked to describe their season in one word and why.
“I would say progression is the word to describe the season. I’d say that because you are pushing yourself to be better in and out of the pool every single day,” senior, Ezra Moon with the swim team said.
While Ezra describes his season as a progressive season overall, Senior, London Spears with the swim team chooses a different word to describe her experience.
“I’d say one word to describe this season would be exhilarating. It was exhilarating because the team was just having a blast the whole time together,” Senior, London Spears said.
The swim team is a great option for students looking to join a sport at FHS. If you have swimming experience look into our Swim team as an extracurricular option for you!
Shifting from Swimming, we look at how the basketball season was for Farmington basketball players.
“I would describe this season as hard because we didn’t know how we would do or play together as a team. Overall, it was a tough rebuilding year for the girl’s program,” Senior, Brynn Ryan said.
The Girls basketball team here at Farmington proved to struggle but hopefully next year the team will learn from this past season to improve!
“My season can be described as fun honestly. It was my first season playing with the Highschool and I loved playing in the games and practices were short but beneficial,” Freshman, Malakai Tobler said.
The boys’ basketball team here at Farmington made it to the quarterfinals in the state tournament. Next year they will continue to show their skill!
Consider checking these sports out if you are going to attend Farmington High next year. Whether you are playing in the games, swimming in the pool, or just cheering on from the sidelines, you can make a great impact on Farmington High!
