Student Spotlight: Big Mac Attack

Student Spotlight: Big Mac Attack

Around this time of year, all students are trying to get into the Christmas spirit and do service. One student, Kamden Hartley, is taking it to the next level. Every December Kamden Hartley, a Junior here at Farmington High, and a member of student council, gathers donations to buy as many Big Macs as he can, and donates them to homeless shelters on Christmas day. Thousands of homeless people can have a Christmas meal because of Kamden and his donations.

“I donated for Kamden’s cause because he is putting forth effort and resources to help others during Christmas and I found it to be selfless, so I wanted to pitch in,” a student here at Farmington, Allison Porritt said.

Many students have donated to Kamden and his cause. Even five dollars help so much with this cause. You can find where to donate to Kamden through his Instagram and Facebook. Or you could donate through his Venmo: Kamden Hartley Big Mac Attack.

“My inspiration was when I was about 14, I went with my dad and some of his business clients to pass out food to the homeless… I realized how cool it was and how much they were making a difference and I wanted to do the same,” the founder of Big Mac Attack, Kamden Hartley, said.

Kamden got the idea from doing it once, and then started a huge charity that has helped hundreds of homeless people every Christmas. Kamden is planning on continuing this donation to continue to help those who are in need during this time of year. Through this charity you can make a difference this Christmas season!
