High School’s talent show is now on its way. This is a fantastic way to get your talent out there for others to see. Tryouts are March 1st in the auditorium for all grades. Under appointments on Mydsd, there are times for you to schedule when you will be trying out. Only one person from your group needs to sign up for a time slot. Try to be ready 10 minutes before your audition time. The day of performance will be March 22nd at 6:30 in the auditorium.

This year, we are combining the Spirit Bowl and Phoenix Provides with the talent show as well. Friday the 17th is the Phoenix provides kick off dance. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door or on Mydsd. Starting Monday the 20th, we will be having a spirit week and something fun and new everyday.

Monday is bowling night at Bountiful Bowl and dress up day at school for our spirit bowl kick off. The theme is Soccer moms and BBQ dads so come in your best costumes. Tuesday is Dash for cash, everyone bring money and it will be collected in MAPS class! Wednesday is anything but a backpack day. Farmington’s Got Talent Thursday will also be cereal bowl day. During lunch, come buy a bowl and get unlimited cereal. Friday is spirit out as well as our spirit assembly, including save or shave. Sophomores wear teal, Juniors wear Grey and Seniors wear black. Come support, bring money and decide who saves or shaves.

The talent show this year is going to be a really big event for Farmington High.

“We have lots of interesting and cool talents,” senior, Mylee Merill, said.

There will be a silent auction going on during Farmington’s Got Talent. There will be a panel of judges and we are hoping to get sponsors for that night. The winner will be based purely off of donations and all the proceeds will go towards our beneficiary Davis School District Teen Resource Center. The Resource Center is a place that kids can go for help mentally or if they are needing a place to stay overnight. Homelessness is a really big problem at Farmington High School even though nobody sees it. So donate and participate in the super fun week we have planned!
