There’s something about summer that feels so different compared to any other season. It could be the warm weather, the freedom from school, or the fun memories we make with friends and family during the long days and late nights.
Every season has something special to offer, but summer might just be the best of them all.
People love summer because of the freedom in routines and not having to stress much. There’s no more early alarms or packed schedules which means students have more time to relax and enjoy themselves. For many, summer feels like a reset after a busy school year.
“Summer feels like the one time of year when I can just enjoy and not worry.” said Junior, Macie West.
Summer also brings endless opportunities for fun and adventure. There is always something to do. The longer daylight hours make every day seem full of possibility. Even simple things like watching sunsets or going out for ice cream, feel more memorable in the summer. Some of the best moments happen during this season. There’s vacations, hangouts, campfires, and late night get-togethers.
People often have more time to connect with family and friends.
“The best part of summer is making memories with friends without worrying about anything.” said Sophomore, Jake Kajma.
Summer is a great season for growth. Some teens get jobs, try new hobbies or skills, or set goals for themselves. It’s a great time to recharge, but also a time to explore new experiences. There’s also a great energy that summer brings. It feels very carefree and exciting. This energy makes everyone’s mood more enjoyable since we’re taking it all in.
While every season has its strengths, summer combines freedom, adventure, and relaxation in a way that no other season can match up to. That’s what makes summer the best season of all.
