Phoenix Girl’s Soccer Soars into the Playoffs

The Farmington Phoenix girls soccer team is at the end of their inaugural season. The Varsity team worked hard and pulled off an overall record of (7/8/6), and a conference record of (4/6). The Phoenix was able to easily achieve a total of six shutouts, four of which were wins. The Region Five opener was a home win against Bountiful High School, with a final score of 2-0. Throughout the season, the Phoenix fought a hard fight. Their final conference game, also against Bountiful High, ended in a 2-1 win.

As the season draws to a close, everyone is wondering if the Phoenix will see postseason play. After a hard fought season, the Phoenix earned 4th place in Region Five play. With the playoffs accepting the top four teams from each region, the Phoenix has the playoffs in their view. The Phoenix is looking to play at Maple Mountain in the first round of the playoffs on October 9th.
