Gypsy Rose released early

Gypsy Rose released early

Just over a month ago 32 year old Gypsy Rose Blanchard got released from jail. She was in jail for 8 years and then let out early because she reached a plea deal with prosecutors due to the abuse that she had suffered. Recently she has gotten some fame on social media with many people expressing their opinions on her. Students at FHS were asked what they knew about Gypsy Rose.

“She was an accomplice in her mothers murder, because her mom abused her medically as a child.” Sophomore, Callie Turner said.

They were then asked how they felt about Gypsy Rose getting out of jail. Although some of them thought that she should have served more time, many thought that she deserved to be out of jail because her actions were due to the fact that she was abused.

“I honestly feel very neutral about it, I’m not like, like gonna go throw a party for her or post about it on social media, but I’m also not like she needs to still be in jail.” Senior, Eliza Lord said.

Gypsy rose has gotten some fame on social media recently on tik tok and Instagram. Many people have found it weird because she has just gotten out of jail and many of the students at Farmington high found her recent fame unnecessary noting the circumstances.

“People shouldn’t be praising her the way that people are.” sophomore, Audrey Scott said.

Although many people have formed both positive and negative opinions on Gypsy Rose and what she did. She is out of jail now and will finally be able to live her life freely and heal from all of the abuse she faced because of her mother.
