Farmington High School is home to a dedicated Boys Wrestling Team. During the Wrestling season, the guys are constantly working hard at practices to prepare for their meets. Mason Kartchner prepares for these matches in a very unique way.

“Before my matches I’ll usually like to visualize my match and go through my motions; what I’m going to do, how I’m going to do it, Get in the right mindset and get ready,” Kartchner, said.

Besides practicing, the wrestlers are faced with another challenge.

“For me, the most challenging part of wrestling is probably cutting weight and the practices,” junior, Hudson Palmer, said.

Cutting weight is a challenge all wrestlers have to go through. They do this so they will be able to wrestle people in the same weight division.

Even with cutting weight and all of the practices, the boys love being a part of the wrestling team.

“My favorite part of being on the team is the brotherhood that you make, it’s a hard thing to do and so hard things make brotherhood,” junior, Seth Warner, said.

The wrestling team is truly a brotherhood. They are always there for each other to motivate, support, and challenge each other.
