A couple weeks into 4th term summer seems to be just around the corner. Prom is over, spring break was last week and midterm is in a few weeks. This is an exciting time for all the students but can also be stressful, especially for seniors.
Seniors have to worry about if they have everything they need to graduate and focus on the future which requires some big decisions.
“It’s bittersweet to graduate because I’ve had lots of fun in high school and I don’t want to leave my friends but I’m also excited for college and for my future.” Senior Claire Brown said.
Many seniors are planning to go to college, going on missions, or participating in traveling and service experiences. These things can be fun but also hard and teach the outgoing seniors a lot of lessons about life and being an adult.
Although many seniors are sad for the year to end, many sophomores and juniors can’t wait for all their summer plans.
“I’m hyped for summer because I’m going on HXP and will be boating a lot.” Junior Kage Cowdin said.
HXP and other travel experiences have gained a lot of popularity amongst high school age students. These trips include traveling to a different place for a couple weeks to either tour or participate in a service. Summer is a favored season amongst students for more reasons as well. Some of the best outdoor activities to do in Utah are swimming, hiking, paddleboarding, pickleball, sand volleyball, and many more.
Ultimately this time of year is a fun time, and the students have a lot to look forward to. There’s a lot of change happening especially for seniors, but their futures are exciting and bright.
