As the school year comes to an end, seniors are getting ready to be done with high school. School is basically all seniors have known for 13 years of their lives, leading some to wonder what comes next.
There are so many different pathways to choose after graduation. Some may go on missions, travel, head to college, take a gap year, or go to trade school, just to name a few.
“I’m going on a mission, but after my mission I want to go to trade school, but who knows, that might change after I get back,” said senior Cardon Hadley.
“I want to go to school to be a nurse, but after I get like a year ahead in that, I may go on a mission,” said senior Bella Borrowman.
“I don’t really know what I want to do, so I’m going to enlist in the coast guard,” said senior Tyler Dotson.Seniors may also be led to imagine what their lives will look like years after high school, and what they hope to achieve in that time frame.
“I think where I want to be in ten years is a stay at home mom with a husband,” said senior Sicily Masten.
“I want to be working in the medical field, but I’m still figuring out how to get there,” said senior Jenna Bruderer.
There’s many things to do with your life after high school. There are so many career and lifestyle choices that people can make. It seems that while some seniors know what they want to do after high school, others don’t. Both of which are okay. People should experiment, find what they like and don’t like, and explore all their options. It takes time to find what you want to do. Even if you have a plan in mind and end up hating it, it is never too late to change what you want to do with your future, with your life.
