Summer break is one of those moments where life just feels fulfilled and great. Especially for students, teachers and other staff members. Summer is creeping in and Farmington high is counting the days until the one and only, summer break has arrived. Who is ready to sing, dance, and cheer for an amazing summer?
We went around Farmington high, to ask students how excited they are for summer and what they’ll be doing over the break.
“I am super excited for summer break finally coming, I’ve waited so long. I’m going to hang out with friends, tan and swim around!” Sophomore Aria Christiansen said.
Some people are going to other cities, states or even other countries, which is very exciting in itself. And to others, it’s just a well needed rest, from stressful homework, school and waking up early in the morning to be productive, to a slow morning with not a single care in the world other than making oneself the best summer ever!
“I can’t wait for summer, I am going on a cruise to Italy, Greece and Croatia. I’m just super excited to experience those different cultures,” Sophomore Brinlee Layton said.
Summer break isn’t only a fun time to spend with loved ones and friends, it has many benefits to it, such as the freedom it creates for many students! Without the delay of homework and long periods of just sitting in class, students get to pursue their interests and passions that may not have had time to fully focus on, during school. The benefits are endless, with ranges of going to new places, new experiences, hobbies to try out and of course just spending the needed quality time with family. Another thing about summer break is summer job opportunities that not only offer work and stability to students but also a chance to earn money during the best time of the year! Summer break doesn’t only contribute to personal growth and development, but also open doors for once in a lifetime experience! We hope every single student at Farmington high gets the best summer ever!
