As the year is coming to an end, seniors are getting nervous and excited about graduating. But what about the freshman?

Going into high school can be a scary and stressful time and freshmen could use all the advice they can get. I asked seniors how they felt about their high school experience and the best advice they could give to incoming freshmen.

“I think the best thing to do is to make a schedule or bullet journal to help you stay organized especially if you have a job.” Senior, Ava Fronk, said.

Ava also talks about how she wished she participated in more extracurricular activities before senior year. And how AP classes aren’t as important as CE classes are.

One thing many freshmen may not know is how busy your schedule is once you get into high school. Keeping a schedule/planner to plan out your weeks can be super beneficial and help you maintain your school work and social life.

“I think people are too focused on themselves to notice or care what you’re doing/wearing so do what you want.” Senior, Brooke Brown, said.

Brooke also expresses that she wishes she got more involved in extracurriculars but she feels like she did a good job at putting herself out there and talking to new people in new classes which is always a good thing! It is so important to understand that the best thing you can do is to be yourself! Growing up can be a scary transition but you can make it through it if you stay true to who you are.

I think the main thing seniors regret is not doing extracurricular activities. Whether it’s joining a club or even just attending the football games. Even if you don’t like football, the games are such a fun way to hangout with friends and show your school pride!

Going into high school is a big step but you will be able to get through it if you take this word of advice!
