The NFL is one of the most dangerous workplaces in America with 22 of the world’s best athletes in the world running full speed at each other for three hours every Sunday but very little do you see so many key players taken off the field.
It all started at 10:26 a.m. mountain standard time when Rams star wide receiver and the NFL receiving touchdown leader Davante Adams suffered a non contact hamstring injury. Immediately after he left the game and did not return. No major news has broken about the injury but Rams Head Coach Sean Mcvay said “It didn’t look good.”.
Just over two hours later at around 1:45 p.m., two time MVP, and three time Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes suffered a devastating ACL tear which will not only end his season but also most likely keep him from returning early next season.
Sadly that was not the end of it. At approximately 4:15 p.m. Packers receiver who just returned from a torn ACL was hit on a catch injuring his chest and not only taking him out of the game but sending him straight to the hospital. Matt LaFleur the Packers Head Coach speculates that it may have been a collarbone injury which would be a season ending injury.
Thirty minutes later another devastation happened to the very same team. The second highest rated edge rusher in the NFL Micah Parsons was taken out by a non contact knee injury. Later on this was confirmed to be yet another torn ACL which will sadly end an incredible season with his new team.
“I don’t know what the Packers are gonna do… Christian Watson is a great receiver but more so Micah is by far the best player on that defense” Sophomore Scott Jepsen said.
To end the day the Cowboys recently acquired, Quinnen Williams, went down with a knee injury at 9:08 p.m. Williams was playing at an extremely high level since being traded. Although the extent of the injury is not yet known the effects will certainly be felt on the defense if Quinnen misses time.
