This NFL season has been electric with many great performances but there are a select few players whose consistent high level performances have elevated them from the rest of the players. The three best players thus far who have outplayed every player in their league at their position include Matthew Stafford, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Myles Garrett.
Veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford who has delivered the Rams to an 11-3 start is having one of the best years of his career. Although he is only fourth in yards with 3,354 yards he more than makes up for that by throwing for by far the most touchdowns having seven more than second place while only throwing four interceptions and having the best passer rating in the NFL.
“He is by far the best player in the NFL… no quarterback is dominating on a week to week basis like him.” Senior Noah Defay said.
Career Browns edge rusher, Myles Garrett, who plays on the opposite side of the ball is tracking for a record breaking season. Although Garrett has been doubled on 58% and hit with a chip block on an additional 26% of plays he still leads the NFL in sacks. His 21.5 sacks thus far haven’t only put him at number one in the league but he is also tracking to obliterate the current sack record which is 22.5.
“He is on one of the worst teams in the NFL putting all the attention on him yet he is still producing at record breaking numbers” Junior Wyatt Orison said.
Last but certainly not least is Jaxson Smith-Njigba who after having a far superior quarterback in Sam Darnold has had by far the best receiving season in the NFL. Jaxon has been able to put up 1,428 yards through the first 14 games of the season which is more than 200 yards than second place and has maintained the second most touchdowns tied with receiver Tee Higgins.
