This past Superbowl has been a very controversial topic among people. Whether people are arguing if it was a boring game or not, or if the halftime show was one of the best or worst of all time. If you live under a rock, the Superbowl was the Seahawks vs the Patriots and the halftime show was performed by Bad Bunny. The Seahawks won 29-13. People are saying it wasn’t a competitive game. There seems to be something about this Superbowl everyone can complain about. I asked students what their thoughts on this Superbowl game was. 

“The game was boring and the kicker should’ve gotten MVP,” says junior, Cael Mckeon.

“The Superbowl was one of the most boring things I’ve ever seen,” says senior, Zack Hansen.  

What was wrong with the halftime show? Why are people so outraged? Well if you don’t know who Bad Bunny is, he is a Spanish speaking music artist. The Superbowl is primarily watched by an English speaking audience. People were so upset that Bad Bunny was just going to sing in Spanish, that a group of people made a separate halftime show for people to watch. They got Kid Rock, a country singer, to perform for the second halftime show. Another thing people were upset about is how Bad Bunny’s performance was inappropriate or just down right boring. Those are just things I’ve heard. I asked students what they really think about the halftime show. 

“I didn’t really listen to Bad Bunny before now I’m starting to listen to him again after the halftime show” says junior, Dax Harris. 

“The halftime show was terrible. I couldn’t understand what he was saying” says senior, Finn Doubt. 

After interviewing people I found that it’s very back and forth about the halftime show. Many students liked it and many students didn’t. Something everyone I interviewed could agree on is that the game was super boring and not competitive. I don’t know if this was the worst Superbowl of all time but it definitely one of the most controversial Superbowl’s of all time.
