After school, one of the biggest debates isn’t about homework or sports, it’s about drinks. The real question is: Dutch Bros or Starbucks? Both places are popular with students, but they feel like two completely different worlds.
Walking into Starbucks usually feels calm and quiet. People sit with laptops, headphones, and big cups of iced coffee while studying. The menu has tons of classic drinks like lattes, frappuccinos, and refreshers. It’s a great place if you want to hang out, relax, and maybe get some homework done.
Dutch Bros, on the other hand, feels more like a mini party. The music is loud and the drinks are colorful and sweet. Instead of a quiet cafe, most Dutch Bros locations are quick drive-through stands where everything moves fast.
Another big difference is the vibe. Starbucks feels more like a study spot, while Dutch Bros feels like a quick stop to grab something fun before driving around with friends.
Students definitely have strong opinions about which stop is better.
“I like the energy that Dutch Bros offers, and the workers are more friendly.” Sophomore Jessica Bybee said.
On the other hand, Sophomore, Londyn Arnold said, “Starbucks is my go to because it’s more consistent. I know exactly what my drink will taste like every time.”
In the end, the winner depends on the mood. If you want a calm place to sit and chill, Starbucks might be the move. But if you want loud music, sweet drinks, and an energy boost, Dutch Bros could take the crown.
Either way, one thing is clear: students will always find an excuse to stop for a drink or a sweet treat. It doesn’t matter the options and variety of drinks and treats to choose from, it’s more about the experience and who you enjoy it with.
