With the NBA season finally coming to the end so is the Utah Jazz tanking. This year the Utah Jazz record was 22-60. Some Jazz fans believe the tanking is over with the young stars and players the Jazz have brought to the team.
The Jazz tanking started back in 2024 when the team traded all-stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. In both trades the Jazz got 8 first round picks from the Timberwolves and the Cavaliers and key players Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler.
The move that changed the team was trading for Jaren Jackson Jr. back in February this was the turning point of the Jazz tanking era. The Jazz aren’t looking for picks anymore, they were looking for an established star to pair with Lauri, Keyonte, and Ace Bailey.
The Jazz have built an impressive roster with bringing in players like Lauri Markkanen, Walker Kessler, Keyonte George, Ace Bailey, and Jaren Jackson Jr. along with great role players with Isaiah Collier, Brice Sensebaugh and Kyle Fillipowski.
The Jazz also have the chance to draft a key player from this year’s NBA draft. Some are saying this year’s draft is the best class in years. The Jazz have a top 8 protected pick and some players in this year’s draft are franchise changing players like AJ Dybantsa, Cam Boozer, Darryn Peterson, and Caleb Wilson.
Will the Jazz be able to take it to the next level with this roster?
